Bad girls

by Miles Benson

What is this book about?

Students from an ordinary high school gain super powers after ingesting a strange liquid.

One of the main characters, Ronald, a regular high school student science whiz, discovers a substance which will give people powers. Shortly after his discovery another main character, Lauren, who is new to the area and it’s her first day at school accidentally expose “the popular girls” of the school to this substance and become super powered.

Now, Lauren, out of her sense of responsibility needs to figure out a way to take them down so they don’t hurt themselves or others.

This book is essentially the movie, Mean Girls, but with super powers.

Why should you read this book?

Super-heroes are often a male power fantasy, this book is a neat twist to show how women might make use of them.

Having said that, I should caution you before I recommend reading it.

When you put an artist like Darwyn Cooke on covers you’ve got anyone’s attention. Unfortunately, for the writer of Bad Girls, Cooke’s covers are so well designed that they sum up the story pretty effectively, much more effectively than the actual writer and artist of the book.

Regardless of It’s predictable storyline, it is a neat idea that you don’t see often.

Me on the other hand; I’ve been eating lots of delicious solid foods and swallowing my saliva regularly with no pain! Just kidding dude friend, heal up so we can hang out. Or at least have conversations..
