I just wanted to take the time to thank a good buddy of mine, Tim, over at Dangerous Dirty and Unfun.

I just checked my Google Analytics and I found out that I have 19 new unique visitors just coming from his site to mine, who spent on average 15 minutes on my site, with a very LOW bounce rate!!! Do you know what means?! It means my site was compelling enough that more DD&U visitors decided to stay on my site and convert. A link from DD&U beat out any of the other means of marketing I use to get people to read my site. DD&U not only beats, but swamps: facebook conversion, google image search conversion, myspace conversion, twitter conversion, and AND DIRECT URL CONVERSION (which is when people type in your address to get to your site, instead of being linked to it). What the flying hell so called “friends” of mine??!! Why are strangers more interested in me than the people I actually know?

DD&U, thank you! Google Analytics, thank you! You have shown me who around me actually cares what I have to say.
