A LOTT of Twilight Zone and Gregory Peck as a kid. They’ve completely shaped my worldview, so I associate absolutely no childhood nostalgia toward Disney. But once I hear Rod Sterling “nee nur nee nooo, nee nur nee nooo, you’re traveling through another dimension…” it gives me the chilllssssss–and maybe a tear to my eye. Nosferatu? I’m his Queen of the night, roar.

No! I will not update the art at the top! I miss my tonsils. I wish I never had to get them out! It’s not my fault my flesh decided to be stupid and get diseased. In art form, they stay. That is how I wish to remember them.

Okay, I’m really glad I’m not the only one who thought Tim Burton was associated with Coraline. Where the hell did I get this from? I’m such a snot.

FRANKENWEENIE!! HAHHAHAHA Holy hell…I haven’t thought about that movie in years! Who watches black and white when they’re a kid?! Did you follow Frankenweenie with Grapes of Wrath? Then a nightcap with Nosferatu? :)

I am ridiculously happy that you’ve watched Vincent! It’s one of my favorite Burton short films, and it makes me :( that many people haven’t come across it. Have you watched Frankenweenie?? It’s not stop motion, but it’s a very dramatic short film by Burton about a franken-pup.

Okay /off the soap box.

If you were going to see Coraline, I would suggest 3D. The world is vivid and lush, there are a few changes from the book but its overall very very well done. I was most pleased as a HUGE fan of Neil Gaiman.

I saw Coraline a few weeks ago. I was really impressed. Visually, it was incredible. They garden scene and circus scene was awesome. The story was different too. Very much like a Tim Burton story, but a little more fucked up. The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride were movies that were never really scary, but if I had been a child and seen Coraline I probably wouldn’t be able to sleep for weeks. Definitely an entertaining movie though.
